Our army ranked 62nd in the ranking of the world's strongest armies

Uzbekistan ranks 62nd among 145 countries in the 2023 Global Firepower ranking of the world's strongest armies. The US, Russia and China are in the top three of the ranking.

Kazakhstan is 63rd, Turkmenistan 82nd, Kyrgyzstan 107th, Afghanistan 114th, Tajikistan 120th.

The Uzbek Air Force has a total of 197 aircraft, including 58 fighters, 20 attack aircraft, 13 military transport aircraft, seven training aircraft, 99 helicopters and 33 combat helicopters. The army also has 420 tanks, 197 self-propelled artillery pieces and 143 surface-to-air missile systems.

Uzbekistan has a total of 13.5 million able-bodied human resources. Every year, 622,000 persons are recruited into the army. There are currently 65,000 people serving in the Uzbek armed forces.
