Over the past five years, the number of industrial enterprises has reached 100,000

This was revealed during a video conference chaired by the President.

The meeting discusses plans for 2023 to identify additional reserves and increase investment in the industry.

It is noted that in recent years:

—19 additional free economic zones and more than 400 small industrial zones have been created, with 10 trillion soums allocated for their infrastructure;

—3 billion dollars of financial resources have been allocated to transform such sectors as textiles, chemicals, construction materials, leather, pharmaceuticals and electrical engineering into "drivers";

—Exploration activities have been tripled and more than 600 new mines have been opened to provide the industry with the necessary raw materials.

As a result, the number of industrial enterprises has doubled in the last five years to 100,000 and production has increased by 1.4 times.
