Over the past three years, the volume of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan has increased 3 times

Sardor Umurzakov, while in Turkmenistan as part of the visit of the government delegation of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Ch.Gylydzhov.

The prospective directions of deepening the economic partnership were considered. It was noted that over the past three years, the volume of mutual trade has increased 3 times, and in the period from January to June of this year, the growth of trade turnover amounted to 9 percent compared to the same period last year. Mutual readiness to implement joint practical measures to intensify mutual trade was voiced.

In addition, during the meeting, issues of strengthening interregional cooperation were touched upon, in particular, between the Bukhara region and the Lebap velayat, as well as the Khorezm region and the Dashoguz velayat.
