Uzbekistan ranked as safest of Central Asian states

In the ranking of countries with the highest crime rate in 2023, published by the research portal World Population Review, Uzbekistan ranked 99th out of 136 countries. For every 100,000 citizens of the republic 33.42 crimes were committed.

Topping the list are Venezuela, Papua New Guinea and South Africa. Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar were noted as countries with low crime rates.

Among Central Asian states, Kyrgyzstan ranked 31st. The country has 56.87 crimes per 100,000 population.

Kazakhstan can be seen in 40th place in the ranking. It has a rate of 53.77 crimes per 100,000 residents. Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were not included in the ranking.
