Passport Index: UAE passport ranks first in the ranking of the most prestigious passports

According to Passport Index, compiled by the Canadian consulting company Arton Capital, the United Arab Emirates passport became the most powerful passport in the world in 2022. According to sources, holders of a UAE passport can visit 121 countries without a visa.

When compiling the rating, Arton Capital assessed passports based on how many countries their owners visit without a visa or receive a visa upon arrival in the country. In the top ten according to the rating, the UAE is the only state outside Europe.

According to information, holders of a UAE passport can visit 121 countries without a visa, which can be done when a visa arrives in 59 countries.

The second place was occupied by several countries at the same time. These are Germany, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and South Korea. Passport holders of these countries can visit 173 countries without prior visa. In particular, more than 120 visas are not needed at all, and in the rest they can be issued upon arrival.

Uzbekistan is in 69th place on this list. In the rating of strong passports, Russia is noted in 38th place (out of 97) with Turkey. Experts recognized the Afghan passport as the worst-it took 97th place with only 5 visa-free directions.
