President instructs world PR for Uzbekistan's tourism brand

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed during a video conference that this year should become the year of popularising Uzbekistan's rich culture and tourism potential in the world, and announced that 100 billion UZS will be allocated for this.
Head of our state instructed to update tourism brand and develop a business card of Uzbekistan, broadcast it on foreign TV channels, place it on screens in major cities of USA, China, Arab countries, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, Great Britain, Malaysia, Russia and Kazakhstan, increase the number of advertising spots about Uzbekistan on the Internet platforms with a billion subscribers.
It is noted that the current tourist season in Uzbekistan is short, but the potential for its extension is enormous. Two more months can be added to the tourist season by organising mountain climbing and skiing areas in the winter season in Tashkent and Jizzakh regions, and bathing places in the summer season in Andijan, Samarkand, Kashkadarya and Navoi regions and the city of Tashkent.
To that end, goals have been set for an increase in festival and cultural events, the development of winter and eco-tourism and the use of nature reserves, natural parks and natural monuments.
