President: Now it is necessary to build mentally, qualitatively, taking people's opinion on every place

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Toshkentboshplanliti State Unitary Enterprise October 18 and observed the Tashkent Master Plan 2045.
Foreign and local designers worked on the project at Toshkentboshplanliti for two years. Population growth dynamics, the state of transport and engineering communications, and climate change were analysed, and a strategy for the development of transport hubs and settlements was devised on that basis. During his presentation, the President was informed about the strategy.
First of all, it is planned to digitise the cadastre of the city of Tashkent and make information about the categories of land public. Users, including those wishing to open their own business, can find out via the internet which category a particular plot of land belongs to.
Public transport will be improved to solve the problem of traffic jams. It will be compulsory to have a stop within at least a 15-minute walking distance from home. There will also be 'Park and ride' parking on the outskirts of the city next to public transport stops.
Another important measure is to set social requirements for buildings. For example, if a multi-storey building is to be built in the city, depending on its type, certain standards will be set for the availability of a school, kindergarten, consumer service facilities, parking spaces, and the area to be planted with greenery.
The draft master plan for Tashkent until 2045 integrates the 'New Tashkent' concept. This new city will be built to the east of the capital, between the Chirchik and Karasu rivers. It will be designed to accommodate 500,000 people.
"Our city development strategy has also been approved by respected experts from around the world. Now, for each location, it is necessary to know the opinion of the people and to build it wisely and with high quality. The new city should be worthy of our people, appropriate to our climate, modern," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
