President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received credentials from newly appointed ambassadors

Solemn ceremony of presenting credentials by newly appointed foreign ambassadors to our country was held today, November 24.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received credentials from ambassadors of the Republic of Korea Kim Hee Sang, Kyrgyz Republic Musa Dzhamanbaev, Algerian People's Democratic Republic Boumediene Gennad, Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov, United States of America Jonathan Henik.
The head of our state sincerely welcomed the newly-appointed ambassadors and congratulated them on the commencement of diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
It was noted that in accordance with the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy, wide-scale and already irreversible reforms are underway in the country directed at building a strong democratic constitutional state and free civil society.
"We have set a goal to double the gross domestic product of the country in the next 10 years. We have the desire and capabilities to do this. In the next 5 years we expect to bring the volume of investment to $120 billion, including at least $70 billion of foreign investment. Our country must be open to the world, and world markets must be open to us," said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The head of state spoke separately about the prospects for comprehensive and long-term cooperation with the countries represented by the newly appointed ambassadors.
