President receives German foreign affairs chief

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. A range of urgent issues has been put on the agenda of talks.

The major topics on the agenda are to deepen Uzbek-German multifaceted relations with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in green economy, topical aspects of regional cooperation, including in the framework of the renewed EU Strategy for Central Asia, as well as assistance in the early peaceful settlement of conflict in Afghanistan.

In the morning, the German Foreign Minister had already held a meeting with her Uzbek colleague and visited the capital's German-language school No. 60 and the AMMC production site, where cooperation projects with leading German companies are underway.
