President to pay official visit to Singapore

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Singapore from January 16-18 on the invitation of President Halima Yacob.

The agenda includes meetings and negotiations at the highest level with President Halima Yacoub and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The summit agenda includes topical issues of further expansion and consolidation of Uzbekistan-Singapore multifaceted relations.

Particular attention will be paid to the deepening of practical cooperation in trade and economic, investment, innovation, transport and communications sectors, as well as in public administration and training of highly qualified specialists. A solid package of bilateral documents on the aforementioned spheres is being prepared for adoption as a result of negotiations.

In addition, the head of our state will meet with the heads of leading companies in Singapore. On the eve of the visit a business forum of business circles of the two countries will be held.
