Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed topical issues of bilateral and regional agenda

On January 13, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation.

During the discourse, two leaders addressed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations.

It was noticed with delight that the summit accords were being successfully executed. Mutual visits by delegations at various levels have become more frequent. By the end of 2021, trade turnover have boosted by 33%.

Interregional, cultural, humanitarian, and other relationships are flourishing.
The parties noted the magnitude of holding a series of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.

Both sides also exchanged views on the situation in Central Asia in the light of recent events in Kazakhstan.

The measures taken to restore peace and stability Kazakhstan were supported.

The telephone conversation was, as always, warm, cordial and friendly.
