Press conference in Kokand ahead of the crucial event

On May 8, Kokand hosted a press conference ahead of the conference "The role of the Kokand Khanate in the advancement of the statehood and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples."

Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, Sherzod Mustafakulov, Rector of Kokand University, Sultanbai Raev, Secretary General of TURKSOY, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Gulchehra Rikhsieva, Tashkent Rector of the State University of Oriental Studies, Juliboi Eltazarov, First Vice-Rector of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" gave their opening speeches.

The purpose of the conference was to scrutinize the role of the Kokand Khanate in the development of Turkish statehood in Central Asia, to get acquainted with the historical events of this period, as well as to determine the impact of the Khanate on international processes in the region.
