Promotion of investment activity and support of entrepreneurs

Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan J.Khodjaev held a videoconference meeting dedicated to the discussion of investment activities and support for entrepreneurs.

Heads of ministries, departments, industry associations and local authorities reported on the implementation of investment projects within the framework of the State Investment Program and Territorial Investment Programs in the regions and sectors, defined plans to support project initiators, and also, they talked about the problematic issues for which a study was conducted and appropriate solutions were developed.

At the meeting, the current state of utilization of funds and grants from international financial institutions and foreign governmental financial organizations was considered. Heads of relevant ministries and departments were instructed to strengthen monitoring of timely implementation of projects and targeted use of loan funds.

Also, in accordance with the agenda of the discussion, preparations for the Open Dialogue of the Head of the State with businessmen, which will be held in August of this year, were studied. The process of summarizing and analyzing the appeals and proposals sent by entrepreneurs was reviewed. In particular, as of today, 6,316 appeals have been received by the Republican headquarters, of which practical solutions have been developed for 1,719 applications.
