Prospects for further development of the SCO were discussed

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the heads of delegations of the SCO member states participating in the events of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in our capital.
The meeting was attended by Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister - Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Chinese State Councilor, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev, Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhridin, as well as the Secretary General of the SCO Zhang Min I and the Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure Ruslan Mirzaev took part in the meeting.
Priority tasks of multilateral cooperation and prospects for further development of the SCO were discussed. Special attention was paid to the results of joint work during the presidency of Uzbekistan and the agenda of the summit to be held in Samarkand in September of this year.
Opinions were also exchanged on current issues of international and regional importance.
