Pumping stations are given to private partnerships

Now the pumping stations are given to private partnerships and alternative energy sources are introduced in them. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave such an instruction at the meeting held on April 18.

It was noted at the meeting that today water is delivered to distant fields with the help of pumping stations. Most of them are old, so the consumption of electricity is very high. Not a single large pumping station has yet been converted to an alternative energy source. Due to the unclear conditions, the projects of many entrepreneurs are stopped, and large amounts of money are being spent on electricity from the budget.

Therefore, instructions were given to transfer pumping stations to private partnerships and to introduce alternative energy sources in them. It was said that the scientists of the Tashkent Irrigation Institute will be involved, and loans will be given to effective projects on favorable terms.
