Responsibility for resisting a representative of the authorities is increasing

At the nineteenth plenary session of the Senate, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility" was discussed.

In the first direction, the penalties in the Criminal Code are being strengthened for the commission of a crime related to resisting a representative of the authorities or a person performing a civil duty.

Also, amendments are being made to the Code of Administrative Responsibility, which provides for increased responsibility for failure to comply with the legal requirements of a law enforcement officer.

The law provides legal protection for representatives of the authorities of the country by establishing in the Criminal Code responsibility for resisting a representative of the authorities.

The law was approved by the senators.
