Riga port and Uzbek Railways plan to increase the volume of cargo transportation

The administration of the port of Riga signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Railways of Uzbekistan. The document provides for information support in order to strengthen and develop cooperation between the Latvian port and Uzbekistan, as well as to facilitate the more effective use of the transport and transit potential.

The parties agreed to create favorable and competitive conditions for import, export, transit cargo flows between Latvia and Uzbekistan, as well as in the opposite direction.

The signing of the memorandum also allows the Port of Riga to place information about its work, services, their cost, terms of cooperation and possible benefits on the official website of the Uzbek railway company in order to inform cargo owners and potential customers.
