Russia ratified an agreement with Uzbekistan on the abolition of registration of citizens

Vladimir Putin signed a law ratifying an agreement on the abolition of compulsory registration in Russia for citizens of Uzbekistan within 15 days from the date of entry and for citizens of the Russian Federation upon arrival in Uzbekistan.
The agreement was signed in Moscow on May 21, 2021 and in Tashkent on June 17, 2021.
The agreement provides for the release of citizens of one state temporarily residing in the territory of another state from the obligation to register (registration at the place of their stay) with the competent authorities of the host state within 15 days from the date of entry.
Recall that before the adoption of this law, citizens of Uzbekistan could stay in Russia without mandatory registration for seven days. Citizens of Russia could stay on the territory of Uzbekistan without registration for three days.
