Russian banks have tripled the limit on remittances abroad

From June 8, Russian banks will allow individuals to transfer no more than $ 150,000 or other foreign currency equivalent from a Russian bank account to a foreign account or another person within a month.

According to the press service of the Central Bank of Russia, non-residents - individuals from "friendly countries" can also transfer no more than $ 150,000 US to foreign accounts. In mid-May, the limit was set at $ 50,000 US.

In addition, the limit for remittances through money transfer systems has been doubled. Earlier it was possible to transfer $ 5,000 US per month through services without opening an account. Alternatively, now it amounts to $ 10,000 US.

All non-residents still have the opportunity to transfer their salary abroad.
