Saida Mirziyoyeva discussed media issues and freedom of speech with US Secretary of State

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu met with Saida Mirziyoeva today.

The US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu said that such important issues as preservation of cultural heritage, development of media and freedom of speech and other issues, in solution of which the countries could jointly cooperate to improve the situation, have been discussed during the meeting.

Also, the sides discussed interaction between Uzbekistan and the United States in the field of education, ongoing reforms in this area and further cooperation.

"I noted that for me as an employee of the Presidential Administration, which coordinates the development and implementation of the Educational Strategy, the priority is the development of critical thinking in children and young people." - wrote Saida Mirziyoyeva in her Telegram channel.
