Saudi Arabia may join BRICS

It is noted that after a state visit to Saudi Arabia, South African President Cyril Ramaposa said that the government of Saudi Arabia is interested in joining the BRICS group.
He also noted that Saudi Arabia will chair the BRICS in 2023. The South African government is considering adding new members to the group. Sources note that in addition to Riyadh, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Argentina and, according to some reports, Indonesia have also expressed a desire to join the organization.
Instead of information, BRICS, founded in 2006, is an international organization that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. There is also the BRICS+ format, which includes Algeria, Argentina, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Senegal, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
