Saudi Arabia plans to build a two-kilometer skyscraper

According to the Middle East Business Analyst magazine, the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Fund (PIF) plans to build a 2 km tall skyscraper in the kingdom. There is information that the height of the building will be twice as high as the 828-meter Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It is noted that the cost of the project is estimated at about $ 5 billion.

According to the sources of the publication, at the same stage is a tender with a contribution of $ 1 million. American companies Skidmore, Owings & Company are among the contractors participating in the tender.

In November 2022, construction began on the 120-kilometer-long, 490-meter-high Mirror Line megalopolis in the northwestern part of the kingdom, capable of accommodating 5 million people. It will consist of two skyscrapers connected by crosswalks. The main organizer of the huge $1 trillion project is Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
