Science fiction is becoming a reality: South Korea launches 6g network

At a time when some countries are just mastering the 5G network, South Korea announced that it will launch its 6g network in 2028. The project is estimated at 625.3 billion won or 482.1 million dollars.

According to the State Ministry of Science and ICT, this will be done by strengthening the new generation of mobile networks and network supply chains based on world-class technology, advanced software.

As it turned out, the South Korean government encourages local companies to produce materials, components and equipment for the development of the 6G network. The state also plans to strengthen the supply chain to support a new generation communication network.

According to Zhang Yongtao, Deputy Director General of the Ericsson Chinese technology department, 6g combines virtual and real worlds, 6g hologram transforms communication from science fiction to reality.
