Scientists have identified a deterioration in mental capacity in patients with COVID-19

Those with coronavirus have impaired brain function. The most notable impairments were found in functions such as reasoning, problem solving, and planning.

In collaboration with the BBC, scientists have tested over 80,000 people. Those with coronavirus have passed nine types of tests used to assess various aspects of a person's consciousness. As a result, scientists have recorded cognitive impairment.

However, scientists point out that in many of these works there is little information about whether COVID-19 is associated with objectively studied cognitive impairment.
