SCO II Economic Forum: prospects for economic development and practical cooperation

On August 16 of this year, within the framework of the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the II Economic forum began its activity in Tashkent. The forum was attended by heads of state bodies, ministries responsible for foreign economic activity, as well as representatives of international organizations of SCO countries.
It should be noted that the Economic Forum is a logical continuation of the multifaceted foreign economic policy pursued by our country over the past few years and activated this year in connection with the chairmanship of the SCO. The initiative to hold a forum of this format in Tashkent was put forward by the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the 2020 Summit of the SCO in Moscow.
The main tasks of the forum are to discuss the priorities of trade and economic and investment cooperation, as well as the prospects for economic development and practical cooperation in the SCO space, to demonstrate the investment potential of the forum participating countries, to develop specific recommendations for ensuring sustainable development and increasing the potential of economic sectors.
The forum will be attended by heads of state bodies, ministries responsible for foreign economic activity, as well as representatives of international organizations of SCO countries. Its program consists of four panel discussions on the topics of plenary session and "Promising investment projects within the SCO", "Features of International Cooperation and restoration of trade and economic ties", "Trade and economic cooperation in the period of digitalization", "Development of the green economy in the SCO space".
In addition, the SCO Industrial Innovation Fair will be held for guests. Its purpose is to create conditions for the commercialization of innovative ideas, technologies and projects of the countries of the organization.
