Second meeting of the Uzbek-Latvian Business Council

There was the second meeting of the Uzbek-Latvian Business Council on February 8, 2022 in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The event was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan F.Usmanov.

The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade L.Kudratov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A.Ikramov, President of the Confederation of Latvian Employers (LDDK) Vitaliys Gavrilovs and representatives of other ministries and departments and business circles of the two countries.

The main focus of the event was the strengthening of bilateral relations between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Latvia as a key factor in further development of investment and trade and economic cooperation.

It is noteworthy that the Uzbek-Latvian Business Council, in turn, will hold a number of joint events aimed at further deepening and expanding trade, economic and investment ties, close cooperation between the business circles of the two countries. It serves as a paramount platform for cooperation in diverse fields.

During the meeting, the guests were demonstrated to the presentation materials on the investment potential of Uzbekistan, as well as all the conditions created for doing business in our country.

The Uzbek side was represented by Farhod Nurmuhamedov, Deputy Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat Association.

Latvia was represented by Uldis Reimanis, Deputy State Secretary of the Latvian Ministry of Transport, and Edgars Kronbergs, Parliamentary Secretary of the Latvian Ministry of Agriculture.

At the end of the event, there were a signing ceremony of bilateral documents on cooperation.
