Secretary General of the Council for cooperation of Turkic-speaking States met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On March 11, 2021, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States Baghdad Amreev, the press service of the President of Kazakhstan reported.

At the meeting, information was provided on the main directions of the Council's activities and the prospects for its further development. Baghdad Amreev informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about preparations for the upcoming events of the organization at the highest level, about increasing the role of the Turkic Council as an effective international organization, as well as about the economic and investment directions of the The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States.
Having positively assessed the efforts of the Council in strengthening the integration between the Turkic states, President Tokayev focused on strengthening the economic block of its activities. Particularly, he noted the importance of creating the Turkic Investment Fund that will contribute to the development of cooperation between small and medium-sized businesses of the Turkic Council member countries.
