Secretary General of the Turkic Council met with the head of the World Ethnosport Federation

Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreev met with President of the World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC) Bilal Erdogan on March 22, 2021 in Istanbul.
The Secretary General and the President of the WEC discussed the upcoming informal summit of the Turkic Council, which is scheduled for March 31, and the decision to declare the city of Turkestan the Spiritual Capital of the Turkic world, as well as the official Summit of the Turkic Council, which will be held in autumn 2021 in Istanbul.
Expressing gratitude to the WEC President for his active participation in organizing the Fourth World Nomad Games planned in Iznik, Bursa, Turkey, Secretary General Amreev emphasized the importance of the upcoming event, which will make a significant contribution to popularizing the great cultural Turkic heritage in the world.
Noting the tangible results of the work of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council, WEC President Bilal Erdogan said that the role of the Turkic Council has significantly increased in promoting solidarity and deepening relations between Turkic-speaking countries.
He noted that the WEC is in close cooperation with the Secretariat for the organization of the World Nomad Games, and expressed confidence that the World Nomad Games will make them more visible in the international arena.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of cooperation opportunities, the main events on the regional and international agenda, preparations for the Summit in Istanbul, as well as their joint efforts to develop cooperation in the youth and sports spheres by organizing various events and projects.
