Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the German President on the situation in Afghanistan

The Presidents over the phone discussed topical issues of regional importance, the development of multifaceted Uzbek-German relations and the situation in Afghanistan.

An agreement was reached on close coordination of joint efforts to promote a peaceful solution of the Afghan problem, as well as on holding regular political consultations on the situation in the region.

Also, cooperation will continue on the evacuation of German citizens from Afghanistan.
