Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are natural economic partners

The official welcoming ceremony of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place on December 6 at the Akorda residence.

A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the high-ranking guest. The national anthems of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were played.

Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kasim-Jomart Tokayev walked past the guard of honor and introduced the members of the official delegations.

The last round of talks between the heads of state took place.

In a spirit of sincerity and trust, the leaders discussed a wide range of issues related to the multifaceted Uzbek-Kazakh partnership, including cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and exchanged views on international and regional issues.

The President of Kazakhstan congratulated the head of our state on his visit, once again congratulated him on his convincing victory in the presidential election and wished him success in his future endeavors, emphasizing the importance of this meeting.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the President noted that the meeting was held on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and on behalf of the people of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated the Kazakh people on this anniversary and wished them peace, prosperity and new victories.

It was noted that today, under the leadership of Qosim-Jomart Tokayev, the First President of Kazakhstan - Elboshi Nursultan Nazarbayev - continues the great creative work and is steadily moving towards sustainable development.

The Uzbek leader noted with satisfaction the pace of development of friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two brotherly countries.

It was noted that trade and economic cooperation is developing, in which direct contacts between the territories and entrepreneurs of our countries play an important role.

On the eve of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan, a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission chaired by the Prime Ministers and the Forum of Territories was held in Turkestan. A joint business forum was successfully held in the Kazakh capital yesterday. As a result of these measures, a total of $ 6 billion worth of agreements and contracts were signed.
