Shopping and service areas will appear at underground and aboveground metro stations

This became known at a briefing at the AOKA with the participation of the leaders of the Tashkent Metro.

It was noted that by the end of the year, 5 four-car trains will be purchased for the Tashkent metro, and in 2022 the number of trains will reach 80. As a result, the average age of metro trains will decrease from 38 to 26 years.

From September 1, 2021, due to the organization of a 3-minute interval on the Chilanzar line and a 4-minute interval on the Uzbekistan line, the passenger transportation time will be reduced by 30%.

The number of advertisements will increase 3-4 times due to the installation of modern advertising tools (electronic display). Trading and service sites will be created at underground and aboveground metro stations and will be leased to entrepreneurs at electronic auctions.
