Shrubs and ornamental trees are being planted at Samarkand airport

A total of about 700 shrubs and ornamental trees of 25 species are being planted at Samarkand Airport. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection.

Pursuant to reports, on January 16, 2022, Chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan Narzullo Oblomuradov, accompanied by the head of the Ecological Department of Samarkand region Alisher Raimjanov, visited Samarkand International Airport and got acquainted with the works in the process.

Over 150 ornamental trees and more than 500 shrubs of 25 species, including chestnut, catalpa, acacia and Crimean pine, are being planted at the newly built airport.
