Signing of strategic partnership documents in Hungary

Bilateral documents are to be signed following high-level talks in the city of Budapest.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban signed Joint Statement on Development of Strategic Partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

The document underscores friendly, open and constructive spirit of negotiations, and envisages intensifying comprehensive mutually beneficial cooperation and marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

In addition, 15 documents are signed at the level of governments, ministries and agencies of the two countries to further enhance Uzbek-Hungarian relations of strategic partnership. They include:

-Joint program for development of industrial cooperation for 2023-2024;

-An action plan for cooperation in science and technology;

-An action plan to expand cooperation in the agricultural sector;

-Agreement on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports;

-Agreement on cooperation in the development of science.

Memorandums have also been signed on cooperation in customs, justice, environmental protection, horticulture and greenhouse, viticulture, investment, as well as on cooperation between the Academy of State Administration of Uzbekistan and the Hungarian Civil Service University, Samarkand Province and the Hajdu-Bihar District, the Information and Analysis Centre of International Relations and the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Tashkent State Agricultural University and the Hungarian University of Agriculture
