Since the beginning of the year, the volume of tourism exports amounted to 926 million dollars

Under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a meeting of video selectors is being held regarding measures to further increase the domestic and foreign tourism potential of our country.

The head of our state noted that the period of recovery after the pandemic has begun for tourism this year. Including:

in the period until September, the number of foreign tourists who came to our country increased by 3 times compared to 2021 and amounted to 3.1 million people;
since the beginning of the year, the volume of tourism exports was 926 million dollars (it was 951 million dollars during 2019);
the trip of the guests who came to our country increased to 4-5 days on average, and their spending increased to $305 (in 2019, it was 3 days on average, and they spent $195);
The number of domestic travelers also increased by 3.5 times compared to last year and reached 7.5 million people.
It was shown that 30 percent of the income earned in tourism goes to people as wages, and in industry and other sectors it does not exceed 10 percent.
One job created in tourism creates two additional jobs in related industries.

Realizing this, regional, district and city mayors are working with entrepreneurs to increase the number of tourist destinations.
