«Smart» water meters will begin to be installed in Uzbekistan from 2023

According to the government decision, from January 1, 2023, it was established by legal entities and entrepreneurs to install modern water meters that transmit information remotely to territorial water supply enterprises.

At the same time, in order to create relief, entrepreneurs are given tax benefits up to 4 times the amount of the base calculation (1.2 million soums) for the installation of water meters.

From January 1, 2024, it was announced that the calculation will be carried out as consumers who have not installed these meters, who are not provided with water accounting equipment for drinking water supply and wastewater services.
