Social networks in the Turkic world and the fight against disinformation

The third session of the media forum within the framework of the Turkic Council was devoted to this topic, where associate professors and lawyers spoke to discuss important and global topics.

Associate Professor Yusuf OZKIR, Faculty Lecturer at Medipol University spoke on "From Citizen Journalism to Disinformation Control: Online Content and Oversight"

Associate Professor Turgai Yerlikaya, lecturer at the Faculty of Istanbul University made a speech on the topic "Conceptual map of social networks; Manipulations and methods of struggle of nation states"

Further, the lawyer Fatih KAFADAR, discussed the topic of the Law of the Internet sphere and their application in Turkey.

Simultaneously with the session, practical seminars were held under the slogan "The future of the Turkic world: new Ulugbeks, Alishers Navoi, Khoja Ahmed Yasevi, Nizami Ganjavi of the Turkic world" where the participants discussed the prospects for cooperation and shared their experience in the areas of science, sports, culture and media between the Turkic world.
