Starting next year, all residents over 40 years old will undergo targeted endocrine screening at least once a year

The President has identified priority measures to improve the endocrinological service.

Among them:

• starting next year, the entire population over 40 years old (10 million people) will undergo targeted endocrine screening at least once a year;

• more than 14 thousand doctors of family and educational institutions of medical teams and polyclinics will be trained in the detection of endocrine diseases and the provision of primary health care;

• each medical team will be provided with a glucometer for express analyzes;

• A unified electronic register of the population with identified endocrine diseases will be launched;

• from July 1 next year, 2 million women, children aged 3 to 15 years will be provided with iodine free of charge;

• the drug metformin for diabetes mellitus will be distributed free of charge to more than 200 thousand people in need;

• the program of free provision of human insulin to children and adults will continue. At the same time, for the first time, an analogue of insulin is given to young people under the age of 25 years.
