State visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Singapore ends

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev returned to Tashkent this evening after his state visit to Singapore ended.

As part of his state visit to Singapore, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, one of the world's leading institutions of higher learning.

Named after Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore's first prime minister and author of the country's economic miracle, the school focuses on undergraduate studies in public policy and international relations, as well as academic and policy research.

A cooperation agreement between Uzbekistan's Academy of Public Administration and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy was signed in the presence of President Islam Karimov.

Afterwards, President Islam Karimov met with leaders of leading companies and organizations in Singapore.

Singapore's Minister of Manpower - Second Minister of Trade and Industry Leng Si Tang, Chairman of Singapore Business Federation Ming Yang Lim, 15 major companies from this country like Indorama, Meinhardt group, CPG Corporation, Changi Airports, Singapore Management Development Institute, TMC Academy, Virtus Health attended the event and leaders attended.

The results of yesterday's Uzbekistan-Singapore business forum were noted with satisfaction: new investment, trade and financial agreements worth nearly $5 billion were signed during the event.
