During the negotiations, the parties signed a program of strategic partnership between the countries in the military field for 2021-2025, said the head of the RF Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoygu.
“Its (strategic partnership program. - Ed.) Implementation will make the interaction more systemic, bring it to a level corresponding to the spirit of our special relations. This is the first time such a document has been developed. I propose to approve it today, ”Shoygu said at the talks with his Uzbek counterpart Bakhodir Kurbanov on Wednesday in Bukhara.
As a sign of respect and friendship, Shoygu invited the military delegation of Uzbekistan "to the landmark events of the Russian Ministry of Defense this year" - the Ninth Moscow Conference on International Security, the Army International Military-Technical Forum, and the International Army Games.
Uzbekistan, Shoygu stressed, is a strategic partner of Russia in Central Asia.

“Our states successfully interact in many areas, including the security sector. Today it is important to jointly confront challenges and threats, especially international terrorism,”- the minister said.
