Subsidy paid to charter flight organizers will be abated according to Presidential Resolution

From January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023, the amount of compensation allocated from the state budget to cover the costs of tourism entities and airlines for the organization of charter flights from foreign countries to Uzbekistan has been reduced. This is reflected in the Resolution of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 15 "On creating additional conditions for further development of tourism, culture, cultural heritage and sports".

Compensation is now set at $ 10 for each foreign tourist who stays in Uzbekistan for at least five nights, and $ 25 for the winter season (November 20-February 20).

Compensation was implemented on January 1, 2020. At the time, it was $ 20 per tourist ($ 50 in the winter). This was paid in equal shares from the State Budget and the Extrabudgetary Fund for Tourism Support under the State Committee for Tourism Development (now the Fund for Tourism and Sports Support under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports).
