Target set to bring exports to Europe to $700 million

More than a year has passed since Uzbekistan joined the GSP+ system. For finished products sold on the European market, transport costs are subsidised by up to 70 percent.

However, it has been pointed out that only 325 of the 6,200 duty-free goods included in GSP+ are exported.

The reason is that our businesses cannot join large supply chains, they do not have international certification. It cannot sell its product even if the quality is good.

In this regard, the officials have set a goal to bring industrial exports to Europe to 600 products next year and the export volume to 700 million dollars.
