Target to lift an additional 1 million residents out of poverty in 2023

To make the unemployed mahalla population profitable, a programme has been launched to set up 300 micro-centres serving 1,000 mahallas. The head of state stressed that at least five micro-centres must be set up in every region by April 1.

At least 20 such centres will be created this year in Gijduvan, Bulakbashi, Zangiota, Ferghana districts, and in the cities of Kokand, Margilan, and Urgench.

In general, the goal is to bring another 1 million people out of poverty by 2023.
