Tashkent and Astana trade turnover to reach $10 billion

In recent years, trade turnover between Tashkent and Astana has more than doubled and will reach $5 billion by the end of the year, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev said at the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan business forum.

He also noted that currently there are about 1,200 enterprises with the participation of Kazakh capital operating in the republic.

"I want to note that five years ago, this figure was almost six times less. In total, 130 joint ventures have been established in 9 months of this year," the minister said.

As a reminder, Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan business forum started its work in Tashkent. This forum is held in the framework of Tokayev's official visit to Uzbekistan.
