Tashkent gets 'Associated International Financial Centre' status

The British international think tank Z/Yen has published a ranking of the Global Financial Centre Index (GFCI). A total of 119 cities were included in the ranking, while another nine cities received the status of "Associated International Financial Centre".
Tashkent is also included in the Global Finance Centre Index (GFCI) with the "Associate International Financial Centre" status. In addition, cities such as Miami, Karachi and Kaunas are also included in the index.
The GFCI ranking assesses the competitiveness of 128 international financial centres operating around the world. More than 11,000 representatives of various financial centres took part in survey-evaluation work within preparation of Global Financial Centre Index (GFCI) ranking.
The Z/Yen Group's financial and investment community includes 30,000 financial sector representatives and 5,000 international corporations from 138 countries.
