A video showing teachers being forced to collect votes for the Open Budget in Angora District, Surkhandarya region, has been posted on social media. Hilola Umarova, Minister of Pre-School and School Education, said investigations have begun in this regard.
The minister stated that, at the same time, the "Address to the Minister" portal had not received any appeals of such content from teachers.
"If there are any cases in your educational institution where teachers are involved in forced collection of votes under this project, you are requested to call the ministry's hotline at 71-202-09-09. If your complaint reveals a violation of the law in this area, appropriate action will be taken against the responsible officials.
The Open Budget project is based solely on the initiative, no one can be coerced!" said Hilola Umarova.
Also, according to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Surkhandarya prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the situation.
