Termez International Airport resumes service

Today, December 26, International Termez Airport resumed operation after 55 days of reconstruction. At 08:15 a.m., Uzbekistan Airways flight HY-65 on the Tashkent-Termez route with 146 passengers on board landed at Termez International Airport.

As part of the reconstruction, the airport built a new 4E airfield complex that includes a new runway with a length of 3,000 meters and a width of 60 meters, taxiways and apron for three aircraft car parks.

It was reported that the construction project of the new airport complex, which is currently worth 377 billion soums, is estimated at 550 billion soums. The final phase of the project - three aircraft pads and a second runway - is expected to be completed by April 2023.
