The 36th plenary session of the Senate will be held on 27 December

A regular meeting of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis was held on 23 December under the chairmanship of the Senate Chairwoman Tanzila Narbayeva. At the meeting it was decided to convene the thirty-sixth plenary session of the Senate on December 27, 2022.

It is noted that a number of issues are planned to be discussed at the next plenary session, which will be held using the system of videoconferencing.

Priorities arising from the Address by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan as well as amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023. "The government has also introduced amendments to the Law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022", "On prevention of delinquencies", "On accreditation of conformity assessment bodies", "On limiting the trafficking and consumption of alcoholic and tobacco products".

However, at the next plenary session "On technical regulation" and "On ratification of agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on the transfer of prisoners (Tashkent, March 29, 2022)" and "On introducing amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan", as well as planned to consider "on making changes" to the laws.

In addition, the Senators' work on projects identified to further improve neighbourhood infrastructure, as well as the implementation of the Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan by 2030 in 2022 and approval will also be discussed for its implementation in 2023.
