The 4th Council of Ministers of internal affairs and public security of the SCO Member States was held

On August 18 of this year, the fourth Council of Ministers of internal affairs and public security of the SCO member states was held in Tashkent as part of the presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of Uzbekistan (SCO).

The council, chaired by the Uzbek side, was attended by the leadership and representatives of the ministries of internal affairs and public security of the SCO member states, as well as the permanent bodies of the SCO. Representatives of observer states and international organizations under the organization, including INTERPOL, the Bureau of coordination for the fight against organized crime and other dangerous crimes on the territory of the CIS member states, the Center for the fight against terrorism of the CIS member states, visited our country as a guest.

A high level of mutual agreement was also reached on the need to consolidate the efforts of the SCO member states.

Taking into account the growing instability and unrest in the international arena, the issue of further activation of cooperation within the SCO in the direction of the ministries of internal affairs and Public Security also took place on the agenda of the council.

The parties noted the need to carry out an agreement on cooperation between the governments of the SCO member states in the fight against crime, and paid special attention to the further improvement of the SCO's legal framework through the interaction of the ministries of internal affairs and Public Security. At the end of the event, the minutes of the council were signed.
