The 4th meeting of the Uzbekistan-Saudi Arabia Business Council was held in Jeddah

During the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the 4th meeting of the Uzbekistan-Saudi Arabia Business Council was held in Jeddah on August 17 of this year. At the end of it, 15 joint documents with a total value of more than 13.1 billion dollars were signed.

At the event, Minister of Investments Khalid al-Falikh from Saudi Arabia, Co-Chairman of the Business Council - Chairman of the Management Board of "ACWA Power" Muhammad Abunayan and heads of more than 30 large companies, and Deputy Prime Minister from Uzbekistan - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev, heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, commercial banks and large industrial enterprises took part.

Saudi Arabian companies were given detailed information about the country's industrial potential, pharmaceutical, chemical and petrochemical industry, agriculture, and prospects for cooperation in other fields. Heads of relevant ministries, departments and industry associations made presentations of the investment and industrial potential of each sector, and proposed concrete promising projects.

Similarly, meetings in "G2B" and "B2B" formats, in turn, made it possible to analyze the prospects of mutual cooperation, understand the interests and needs of future partners, and discuss new ideas and investment projects.

At the end of the 4th meeting of the Council of Businessmen, a ceremony of signing agreements was held. In it, 15 joint documents were signed, defining the prospects for the implementation of concrete projects in the fields of energy, chemical industry, infrastructural and housing construction, pharmaceuticals, medicine, transport and logistics in Uzbekistan. The total value of the contracts exceeded 13.1 billion dollars, and this was noted as the largest result in the history of relations between the two countries for the last 30 years.
