The Asian Development Bank has lent $ 405 million US to the United Nations to help Afghanistan

It is planned to make use of these funds to provide food to 800,000 people and equipment to 390,000 households. 168,000 Afghans are expected to be employed for money or grain.

Fund distribution is as follows:

• World Food Program: $ 135 million US;

• Food and Agriculture Organization: $ 65 million US;

• UNICEF: $ 200 million US (to support the health of 5.3 million people and provide 2.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to an audience of 264,000 children);

• United Nations Development Program: $ 5 million US.
